Bitcoin Gains May Spur Treasury Buying, but Funding Hurdles Remain

A Bitcoin rally could renew corporate treasury buying, though Bitfinex’s Jag Kooner sees little prospect of a return to last year’s broad capital raising.

A Bitcoin rally could encourage companies to resume buying the cryptocurrency for their treasuries, according to a Cointelegraph report. However, renewed purchases may not come with the same access to funding seen last year.
Jag Kooner, head of derivatives at Bitfinex, said a repeat of last year’s widespread, largely unselective capital raising was unlikely.
The outlook distinguishes a potential recovery in treasury demand from a broader revival in financing. Higher Bitcoin prices alone would not necessarily signal a return to earlier fundraising conditions.
