Binance and Itaú Seek Crypto Licenses in Brazil

Binance and Itaú have submitted applications to operate as virtual asset service providers in Brazil ahead of an October 30 filing deadline.

Crypto exchange Binance and Itaú, Brazil’s largest bank, have formally applied to operate as virtual asset service providers in the country, according to Bitcoin.com News.
The applications come ahead of an October 30 deadline for providers to submit the documents needed to continue operating during the review process.
Filing by the deadline allows providers to maintain services while their applications are assessed. The submissions by Binance and Itaú are requests for authorization, not confirmation that licenses have been granted.
