Binance and Coinbase joined a West Africa anti-scam operation in which private-sector partners identified $11 million in funds potentially eligible for freezing.

Crypto exchanges Binance and Coinbase took part in a crackdown on scams in West Africa, according to CoinDesk.
Private-sector participants identified $11 million in funds that authorities could potentially freeze. The reported figure does not establish that those funds have been frozen or recovered.
Officials also reported seizing cryptocurrency but did not disclose its value. The amount seized therefore remains separate from the $11 million flagged by private-sector partners.
