Base saw another 50% increase in active addresses, while transactions and dollar-denominated user fees declined on Oct. 22, The Defiant reported.

Active addresses on Base climbed another 50%, according to The Defiant, even as transaction activity and user fees moved lower.
On Oct. 22, transaction volume measured by count declined 8.7%, while user fees expressed in dollars fell 20%. The figures show that growth in active addresses did not coincide with more transactions.
The changes came as a GMGN trading competition remained underway. The available report did not establish whether the competition caused the shifts in network activity.
