Aztec Sets End-2030 Target for Full Post-Quantum Migration

Privacy-focused Layer 2 Aztec aims to complete its post-quantum transition by the end of 2030, with hardened developer libraries planned for early 2027.
Aztec is targeting the end of 2030 for a complete shift to post-quantum cryptography, according to The Defiant. The privacy-focused Layer 2 has outlined an earlier milestone for its developer tools.
Hardened developer libraries are planned for early 2027, ahead of the broader migration. Post-quantum cryptography is designed to withstand attacks from quantum computers.
Completing the transition will also require changes to Ethereum, meaning Aztec’s full migration depends in part on developments beyond its own network.
