Anza Schedules Solana Alpenglow Mainnet Upgrade for Oct. 21
Solana’s Alpenglow upgrade is scheduled for Oct. 21, targeting 150-millisecond finality and requiring software changes for validators and block-data providers.
Anza has set Oct. 21 as the date for Solana’s Alpenglow mainnet upgrade, according to The Defiant.
The upgrade aims to bring transaction finality to 150 milliseconds. That figure is a target rather than a confirmed result on mainnet.
Validators and block-data providers will need to make software changes ahead of the transition. The brief source report did not specify the required changes or their rollout timeline.
