AMC’s CEO says the company will not consent to Robinhood stock tokens in the US, where a new SEC framework gives issuers a limited ability to object.

AMC’s chief executive says the company will not give its consent to Robinhood stock tokens in the United States, according to The Defiant.
Robinhood’s offshore stock tokens do not give holders shareholder rights. That distinction separates the tokens from direct ownership of the underlying shares.
The SEC’s new US trading framework allows issuers to object in limited circumstances. AMC’s stated position concerns consent in the US, rather than the status of Robinhood’s offshore tokens.
