Akamai introduced a security offering for AI agents on Tuesday, joining several major vendors targeting software that can operate autonomously.

Akamai launched what was described as a locked-box environment for AI agents on Tuesday, according to Decrypt.
The company joins Palo Alto, Cisco, CrowdStrike, Okta and Zscaler in offering security products aimed at software capable of acting independently.
The rollout adds to a growing category of cybersecurity offerings focused on autonomous AI systems, rather than only on software operated directly by people.
